Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy treating injuries and conditions which affect the muscles, joints, bones and soft tissues. Injuries treated by musculoskeletal physiotherapist include:
> Injuries of muscles, ligaments, joints and bones
> Arthritic changes on the joints
> Pre and post-surgery rehabilitation
> Back Pain & Neck Pain
> Non-specific muscle pain

The Therapist will select most effective treatment strategy as well as adjust the treatment according to the reassessment of patients/clients condition from moment to moment. Treatment is designed with the goal in mind and it is to:
Speed healing and recovery process
Restore normal movement
Increase strength and endurance
Decrease pain, swelling and inflammation
Enable patient’s independency and return to regular daily activities


Musculoskeletal physiotherapy consists of injury/condition assessment and a treatment session to optimize healing and speed the recovery process. Treatment plans made by a physiotherapist and with the consent of patient include:

> Specifically and individually designed exercise
> Manual therapy (therapy performed by the hands of therapist like joint manipulation, soft tissue manipulation, spinal traction, massage, etc.)
> Therapeutic modalities
> Self-management strategies to equip you with the knowledge for the future in order to prevent further tissue damage.
